I worked on this project in collaboration with my peer Abi Studley, to create a response to a brief set by the BBC for the D&AD New Blood Awards Competition 2022. The brief required a XU or service design to improve BBC Bitesize. The brief stressed that our design should accommodate 'learning for all', that it should fit learning into a child's routine and respond to their location. We designed an iPad app that determines a child's learning style and caters to learning specific difficulties, giving a customisable user experience with toggles for every learning style and AR Mode which adapts to a child's location, and becomes harder as they learn. The interactive tools are designed so parent and child can engage in hands-on-learning in order to demonstrate concepts that may be hard to visualise such as fractions.
